More of camp

SFC Winter Camp...
boy oh boy, you'll be so bored of me before the end of this post..
another camp post...

Muahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Camp was great.
To some extent that it was very fulfiling, very powerful..
maybe even very "encounter-ful", b u t camp wasn't that great too...

We had horrible food for 5 days.
So horrible that it was not picture worthy like ones we had previous year. Potatoes, rice, bread, orange color stuff with meat in it and more bread. One of the breakfast we had this lump of "something" that nobody was exactly sure what was it. I put sour cream on very spoonful.

The first night when we arrived, me and PangWeiSoon worked over dinner time and found out that the cafeteria had closed. No food for the night. No water. Thank God I brought some biscuits and bread.

Bad food experience aside.(you know what does food mean to me right...so don't you dare judge me on what I think about food... *sharp stare...*)

The messages were all relevant to me. As I said earlier, alter calls were not popular in camps like "this" ,though, we had 1 in 10 of the sermons. Yes, we had 10 sermons...oh, no no...8 preachings and 2 teachings... :D of course alot of ppl fell asleep. We're not robots you know.

Every single prayer we made at the camp came with a revelation and a strong assurance that God was right there listening. We prayed for Russia, and I cried my heart out for Moscow...

Oh yeah, in the 3 full days and 2 half days... we Malaysians(from Moscow) were given 2 hours to have short games. Thanks to our M1 massive boss, Dalvin, it worked out. Well if you don't know already, we had a dress-up game. Using things like (my 5cm thick stack) Ikea Paper, Cellophane tape, expensive toilet rolls..etc. you understand rite.

We had short games in between preachings(Thank God for that!) too.

And how can you go to camp and not make friends!
I met some cool nice people from all over d world...like Malaysia, and Russia, and..er..Africa? Malaysians were a bunch at the camp. Kursk and Volgo ppl were 'massive!'. Dunno why no nishny people leh?

This is a long enough post to bore enough people d..
I WILL stop here...
Long enough for you , ling?

More pix up soon..

PHOTO POST SFC CAMP !!!

Meet Frank.
Frank is a Penguin...
He was there at the Camp too...and he was popular...
very popular indeed...

Meet Samurai....
He's from Japan...
No, no, he did not kill the penguin. Don't worry...
He came for the Camp too !

Many of us came for the Camp...
Different colors. Different parts of the world...
But the 1 thing that tied us all together was quite distinct...

When I say from all parts of the world...
I really do mean ALL PARTS...
We saw some faces, like never before.

It could be that we all loved music.
We loved the guitar...
And girls loved the Brazillian Hunks...

Maybe we like dancing.
More like doing silly actions throughout a song...but...
Yeah, we like to dance. No doubt.

But the only exact answer I can really think of is...
We love God, very very much...
We love Jesus so much... that we would lay our lives down...

Camp was great.

SFC Winter Camp 200...6

Old news...yeah...

Let me tell you about the Winter Camp organized by Students For Christ(SFC) ,Moscow last year...

It was -30C and the peak of winter in the outskirts of Moscow where less poisoning fumes and less greenhouse gases from cars and definately fewer Nuclear-Thing Factory around, the air was stuttering cold(I LOVE PUNS!)...

We crazy students who loves God are crazy enough to have camp during this time...

This tradition of winter camp has been around for quite some time now. Last year was my first year in Moscow, and it was one heaven-of-a camp. One that will stay on my mind for as long as they do not freeze...God forbid.........................

It was not(and will not, I suspect) an activity packed camp where we are running after time. It was more of a ... should I say, Fellowshiping Camp(?) .

We didn't have any rigorous games and activities.
We didn't have high volumed praise worship night concerts.
And no,
we didn't have a shortage of food (Thank God !).

So what did we do, you ask?...

Our schedule started at 8..or 9am?
We had small devotion groups...which was more of sharing of our faith to each other, in a very relaxed mood. We found out a little bit about each other, all arriving from different parts of Russia, from different parts of the world. Certain times we talked about cultures and how the churches adapt, in that short time.

From that, we'll have a very relaxed time table...
Sermons and food time...hang around with brothers and sisters from other places. Meet up with friends from the past(WeiSoon met his old primary sch-mate). An occasional game sometimes, before we head to the makan place again....

What really interests me in this camp was the,

"You came here to seek God, now go look for Him"
attitude. So strong that you can smell it from the makan place....

There was no pushing you or even spoon-feeding you with reassuring Scriptures that you will be in heaven with Papa so just leave your worries at the road and lets hold hands and smile wide wide so that we keep a positive attitude and keep on loving God.. =)

No.
Don't get me wrong.
I love (LOVE!!!!) camps like that. I love to recieve that 'boost of spirituality' after the camp, where we start to spread the Word like Reverants.
This "type", if i may categorize, of camp is one where you will need to look for God. As far as I remembered it to be, some of the sermons didn't even have alter calls. It was plain prayer of blessing, and Amen.

Amen...

I had to absorb the Word and compare it with my life as it was.
I realised that I really needed God.
Noone needed to tell me that God this God that, it was plain " I Need God"

...there and then
Looking for a "something" to put faith on?
Try "SomeOne" ....
If you have the few days to spare during this holidays...sign up now...
no money?post your contact number in the comments place and you can be sure that it will be 100%* paid for.
Simply because I believe that this are the "types" of camp that will change lives.
