The Kite Runner

Go fly kite la you...

Last Saturday, our bible study group had our first ever movie night..
We were supposed to watch "Facing The Giants"..a very Christian and boring movie..
I mean, how stereotypical can you get...
A guy who lost everything and is failing in everything read a bible verse and suddenly his entire life is changed...

Although its for a bible study group...but it might just scare people out of Christianity itself..

So I had to go movie hunting the entire night...
browsing through IMDB, RottenTomatoes, and even at some point MrSkin(honest browsing only) for good, cool, inspiring Christian movies...
but most of them are made by the same producer and they all kinda suck(sorry lah,I know you're trying to evangelize...but really boring lah)

anyhow, i stumbled upon The Kite Runner...

and this is my review of it...

2 best friends, shared everything but their status, one as the master, the other the servant. Although the master kid had everything, but he had not courage and honor... whereas the servant kid had not everything but that. Amir(the master kid) one day realized that he did not have the courage to stand up for his best friend Hassan(the servant kid) and had not even the courage to face himself after betraying Hassan. He forces Hassan out of his life and continued his own without a trace of guilt..

until when one day he is recalled back to his homeland to face his past...
Amir finally regret all his wrongdoings but now he has no way to repay Hassan. There is no ways left to ask for his forgiveness. It was too late.

But its never too late.

Amir did what he could, putting his life on the line just so that Hassan's debt of friendship could be repayed, be it in full or partially.

from this movie, I realized that there is such thing as being too late...
if i can't forgive someone today, I may never have the chance ever to do so..

oh god please help me.
